Answer Format: Phone Number

The phone number answer format allows the participant to enter a phone number which will display as `(555) 777-8888`, but store the input as a 10-digit number (e.g., `5557778888`). This allows it to populate the MobilePhone demographic field.

Property Function Examples
Default Value A default value that is already entered for the participant. `5557778888`
Placeholder

The “watermark” text that should display for the form item before the participant enters an answer. If no placeholder is specified, participants will see a default placeholder.

Note: If you also specify a "Default Value," the placeholder text will not show up unless the participant first erases the default phone number.
