Viewing and Closing Survey Tasks

Survey tasks help you track surveys delivered to a participant. Each task shows the survey name, display name (for participants), schedule, date it was created/assigned, the due date, and the status (incomplete, complete, or closed).

Viewing Survey Tasks
To see a list of survey tasks:
- Go to the "Participants" tab in your project.
- Select a participant.
- Select the "Task List" tab.
The schedule associated with a particular task is listed next to the survey name. Access all schedule data via the Survey Results Export, including ID, interval, interval type, name, and category.
Filtering Survey Tasks
Survey Tasks can be filtered in the Task List tab by Status and by Survey Name using the "Filter By" drop-downs.
Closing Survey Tasks
Survey tasks assigned to participants are open until either the participant completes them, or they are closed by a project coordinator. You can close incomplete surveys to prevent participants from responding with out-of-date information, or if you need to re-deliver an updated survey.
To close a task, you have two options:
- "Complete Task" will close the task and mark it as completed. A completed task will show up on the participant's task list with a "complete" indicator, as if they had done the task themselves.
- "Close Task" will close the task without marking it as completed. It will disappear from the task list.
Surveys can either be closed automatically using schedules or manually, by completing the following steps:
- Go to the "Participants" tab in your project.
- Select a participant.
- Select "Task List."
- Use the "Filter by Status" button to select only incomplete tasks.
- Select "Close Task" or "Complete Task" to close any incomplete surveys you choose.
