Survey Scale Design Answered

Thejas Suvarna

We are designing a survey and have a question regarding the sliding scales:

As shown below, this scale goes from 0 to 10.  We have a survey that we’d like to display as going from 10 to 0.  The configuration doesn’t allow for making the starting value greater than the ending value.  What we want to know is if there is any workaround to this?  I know we can calculate/flip scores in the javascript in the backend, which I have done, but we want to accomplish at least just displaying the survey exactly how the paper survey was developed (second photo), if that is possible?

Thanks for reaching out. There are a couple of options you can try with the quality of recovery score (QoR)-15 questionnaire.

The first option is to orient your continuous scale vertically by selecting "vertical" in the properties section. This will allow you to display the scale in a way that is a bit closer to your desired outcome.

The second option is to use the web view step, which will allow you to customize items in your survey any way you choose. This option does require users to be able to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Here is our developer-specific information for more details on implementing this step.
